Wow, was it really May 27 that I said that I would get some pictures up in a “couple of days”? Uh, wow time flies.
It’s been about 4 months since I last posted. We have truly been kinda busy, so I will give a brief month-by-month breakdown.
March:
The month after Ruby’s birthday was pretty uneventful. Ruby did spend two days in the Intensive Care Unit after having a fever seizure. She has completely recovered, so an extremely happy ending to that story.
The only side effect was a giant green hand.
It also turns out that we didn’t take a lot of pictures in March.
April:
April was a little more eventful. First there was Easter.
Then the move to Michigan came to complete fruition. After jumping through about 16 million hoops to get a loan, we closed on a house on April 15th.
We are, as you can imagine, extremely happy in our house. We have a very large yard that the girls love to run around in. We have to do a little bit of work, but nothing too drastic. And with everyone chipping in, it’s not so bad.
and Ruby kept the drop clothes from blowing away.
Mostly she just slacked off and lounged around.
She then rubbed off on the other help and everyone was slacking.
May:
With the weather getting better, we were finally able to enjoy our house a little more. We were still working hard on getting settled and Addison was finishing up her last week of school, we could relax a little bit.
Like eating pudding pops on the back porch…
And Ruby getting real pissed about it for some reason.
We can take walks along the river and feed the ducks…
Addison was thrilled that there were ducklings just down the street.
There’s time for snuggles…
and kisses. (Ruby has since learned to kiss with her mouth closed, to the chagrin of all the local boys in the year 2023)
Nothing beats a muffin on the porch swing in your pajamas for breakfast.
That brings us up to date through the end of May. I will stop here for now because June was a very busy month. Addison’s graduation and birthday, plus we added a new member to the family. Stay tuned….if anyone still checks this.
