So kinda a lot has happened the last 3 months. But things are starting to wind down so I will get some pictures up here in the next couple of days.
I told you there was more to come, sheesh back off.
Little Ruby had her first birthday party a couple of weeks ago.
What an awesome job Mother Nature did of recreating the weather from the day she was born. That was so special Mother Nature; everyone really appreciated it.
There was a plethora (plethora: n. an excess; a superabundance) of kids at this party. From age six to negative 1 month.
There will be a prize to the first person to name all the kids and name the two that were at the party and aren’t pictured.*
I am thinking of writing a letter to Party City Headquarters and letting them know that there is someone at the Lansing store with a very sick mind.
“Dude, do those balloons remind you of something?”
“Hmmmmm, now that you mention it, yes”
While we were singing, Ruby was right on the cusp of starting to cry. Luckily, the song was over before any major incidents.
I think she is bummed about about being 1. She was saying earlier that she is going to lie about her age and just tell everyone she is still 0.
However she decided to drown her sorrows with some cake. Please notice in the slideshow that she starts very ladylike and dainty and then mess-city.

Just like her mommy, she then needed a bath after eating.
Then it was time for Ruby to dive into the presents.
Its’ probably a little too much, but we got her a car for her birthday.
Ruby had fun at her party. She seemed to enjoy the attention.
We’re sorry that the weather prevented a lot of people from coming. You can just mail us the money for your food.

Some pretty big developments.
First, as you can see from above, we have a ghost infestation. We are going to have a exorcism next week.
More importantly, Ms. Big Shot Ruby is now a fully initiated member of “Walking Society”.
It all happened in a matter of a couple of days. On Monday her preferred mode was crawling, but by Thursday, she was walking pretty much everywhere she went.
She now gets into all sorts of new trouble.
(oh by the way, i fixed the clicky part of the pictures so you should be able to click on them)
She now tries to go up the stairs with her eyes closed. Ya, pretty cocky.
Have you met our son, Rubin?
Addison had a special thing happen too. She had her first date. Her date was with the handsomest man in town.
Of course, as soon as we walked in the door, she ditched me to go hang out with her friends. Women; they never change.

Addison hit another milestone recently.

She lost her first tooth. We were getting ready to go sledding and while I was trying to pull her sweatshirt on it got kinda stuck. When I went to force it down, POP. Right to the floor. I was a little worried that she would freak because there was a good amount of blood, but she was stoked that it fell out.
But you want to know something really weird? Take a look at this picture of Ruby:

It’s a little hard to see, but Ruby has a tooth there coming in on the bottom. So what’s so weird about that? Well, in some creepy budism tooth reincarnation, Ruby’s incoming tooth is the exact same one that Addison lost. It’s like the tooth fairy took Addison’s tooth and planted it in Ruby’s head. What a qwinky-dink, eh?
I don’t have too many pictures this time, but I didn’t want to much time to pass.

Here’s Ruby eating avocado off a knife Crocodile Dundee style.
And here’s Addison with Mr. Quigley Down Under.
