A couple of weeks ago, Ruby was initiated into a very exclusive club. She joins the ranks of such people as
Michaelangelo, JFK, Martin Luther, most popes, the Notre Dame football team, and various members of the Italian mafia.
She was proudly accepted into the Catholic church.
First off, we needed to make sure she had the right attire. The dress she is wearing is an old family dress that many generations have been baptized in. And of course the proper shoes are always very important for these time honored holy rituals. Jesus may or may not have worn the exact same shoes when he was baptized, but the bible doesn’t have any pictures so it’s kinda hard to tell.
Not much to say about the actual ceremony, you’ve been to one…
The one thing of note was that it was about 653 degrees in the church. That’s why there isn’t too many pictures from after the ceremony because everyone wanted to get the heck out of there.
Why so serious?
Ruby’s godparents are Adam Antonucci (Daddy’s friend) and Jamie Schraft (Mommy’s friend).
All in all it was a very good day. The weather cooperated nicely. It rained while we were in church but then stopped which cooled everything down…it ended up being a very nice day.
