Last weekend we were in Charlevoix Michigan for the wedding of one of Kate’s best friends Danielle. It was an outdoor wedding and the weather was perfect.
At the venue, there was a giant chess board that Addison had fun playing with. Those of you familiar with Harry Potter will see the humor.
The day after the wedding, we drove back to Lansing and had a mini birthday party for Addison. Grandpa Steve, Grandma Melanie, Uncle Mike, Grandma Mary, Uncle Matt were all there. She got a Slip and Slide from Uncle Matt, a Jonas Brothers CD from Uncle Mike (and family) and a second one from Grandma Mary. Grandpa Steve and Grandma Melanie gave her a tennis racket.
Boy, doesn’t she look old in these pictures. After Ruby was born, my mom made a comment about how the child at home ages years overnight when a baby joins the family. I’d say that’s very true.
Tomorrow (or I guess most of you are reading this today) (or Thursday) (or June 26, 2008 ) (whatever) is the big day Addison turns 5 (GULP!). So we will have a post in the next couple of days with a recap, we have a pretty full day planned for her. Ruby has also grown a ton so we’ll have an update on her too!
